La Bella Sombra Landscape studio was launched in 2012 by Gracia de la Lastra Lozano, agronomist specialized in Landscape Architecture. The name of the studio refers to a very present tree in the family tradition, where the desire to develop a proper way of seeing and expressing the concept of landscape architecture was born.
Tha aim of our projects is to reflect client's needs and to create spaces integrated in it's cultural and natural environment and to be in line with the architecture project. For us the concept of design must have a large aesthetic, ecological and functional sense and a solid structural base.
The landscape, a sculpture in motion

We understand landscaping labor as a sculptural work of each space. The work made with alive and dynamic raw material, such as the ground and vegetation, will allow us to design a material and immaterial project, bringing us the privilege to work with the space over the time.
Contemporaneity vs tradition
With the aim to push the potential and strength of each place, our work is to build areas which are adaptable to a contemporary design, but never ignoring the tradition and local culture from the region. It will be reflected in a design´s concept and will allow us to be in harmony with the environment.
